Thank you for your interest in our single family rental house at 564 Williamsburg Rd., Ashfield, MA. It is our policy to only show the house to people only after they have reviewed this site. Then see section "when available to lease". We prefer non-smokers.
The house is located on Williamsburg Rd-a towm road resurfaced in 2002 connicting Route 116 in Ashfield to Route 9 in Williamsburg. The house is on a hill approx 325 ft back from the road with a paved drive and large parking area. It is located on 3.9 acres of woods & open space, with a visible stone wall as one boundary. The nearest neighbor is about 500-700 ft through the woods. The next nearest about 1500 ft. This is a secluded location-we probably get twice the snow during the winter as the valley.

ANYTHING ELSE
During the fall of 2002 we had an electrician, plumber & carpenter go through the whole house trying to make everything perfect! I doubt there are many single family rental houses in the area that compare!
SCHOOLS House is on a bus route - Grade School: Sanderson, High School: Mohawk
SO WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE?
- Some people may think the drive is a little steep (we supply 2 sand barrels)
- Some people may find the location "too rural" - We live about 1500 ft away through the woods & commonly see the following on our front lawn:
bear, bobcat, raccoons, deer, turkeys, porqupines, coyote, etc. (none ever bother us!)
- When the valley gets rain or ice we may get a foot of snow.
- No cable TV and internet service is only by dial up modem.
- TV- you will need to use Digital Dish.
Misc - Generally during the summer it is cooler than in the valley. During the winter we are often warmer than the lower locations at night. My wife and I have purchased this house so we can insure that we do not hear any noise from the house! We have invested a fair amount of time & money to make this a comfortable rental house. There is a rather lengthly - restrictive rental lease please read it carefully.
SMALL PETS MAY BE ALLOWED - NO DOGS (no matter how small)
TENANT IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR HEAT, PHONE, ELECTRIC, LAWN AND SNOW PLOWING. |
